WordAds: WordPress opens to advertising

WordPress announces WordAds, channel of advertising for qualified blogs: an alternative to AdSense for bloggers interested in monetizing.

WordPress has announced WordAds, a new solution for the advertising network that starts today to put at the disposal of its users. The intent is to offer the community a new qualitative tool with which to monetize their pages and their users, everything going beyond the classic AdSense in hopes of creating something better, more powerful and more profitable.

When the details are not known, but right away you can nominate your own WordPress blog to be among the first to accommodate the proposed new advertising space. In his introduction, Jon Burke did not hesitate to diminish the value of AdSense and, turning to bloggers who inspire greater commitment on their pages, explains that so much effort deserves something more than the channel listings made available by Google. WordAds born with the collaboration of Federated Media, a network for advertising already in partnership with many sites of great importance and already has space of 195 million page views per month just in technology.

Burke points out the peculiarity of the contents of the blog and remembers that more than 50000 new blogs are opened each day to WordPress. Any users with WordPress account will immediately fill out the form and nominate their own blogs to participate in the project.

There are two requirements: a domain for the blog owner and the availability of a PayPal account with which to make payments. Not all blogs will be accepted: individual applications will be sifted and the choice will be made on the basis of traffic and level of involvement, type of content and language of the blog. Not a service for all, in fact, but rather a project based on quality.

The profitability of the ads blogs that will characterize the success or otherwise of WordAds compared to the traditional AdSense: If WordPress wants to impose its own solution to better monetizing its service will be able to speak with the force of numbers.
