Amped announces 802.11ac technology equipment

Amped Wireless has announced their first machines with the latest technology wireless WiFi, 802.11ac standard. The details of the router, access point and USB adapter absent because the brand has not even put a price nor release date, just know it will be early 2013.

We assume that exploiting the CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Amped Wireless announced its new high-end wireless devices.

The 802.11ac router will be presented RTA15 AC High Power Dual Band Router 700mW Wi-Fi. The main features of this device is that it has a great power output 700mW WiFi, a part will have 10 amps maximum performance in the 5GHz band where 802.11ac technology works and in the 2.4GHz band which also work.

The speed is 2.4GHz 450Mbps by Three-Stream technology and dual channel bandwidth (40MHz). In the 5GHz band, using technology to achieve 1300Mbps 802.11ac wireless transfer, if we have a channel width of 80 MHz in this band.

It also incorporates all Gigabit Ethernet ports and a USB port.

The access point is the REA20 High Power 700mW AC Dual Band WiFi Range Extender and wirelessly has the same features as the router to the compatibility between them is maximized.

Another team that will present the USB WiFi adapter ACA1 High Power AC Adapter Wi-Fi but this is only two-stream (2 internal antennas) and will support a maximum of 300Mbps in the 2.4GHz band and up to 867Mbps in the 5GHz band with 802.11ac technology. It is unknown if use USB 3.0 interface, but it would make sense in this case since we are far exceeding the theoretical speed of USB 2.0.
